Introduction

I'm Marcia - the "real" organizer for the group! I love playing cards... especially with good company and a glass (or 4) of wine. I know a lot of games, but play Spades the most often. I'm considering breaking into the bridge world soon...

When is a good night for you to meet? Where would you like to meet?

My favorite place is at my house... it's really social, relaxing or crazy hysterical fun depending on the crowd. It's cheap, we have people bring their own liquor so it saves money compared to going out to a bar... plus, I love playing hostess!

What are your favorite card games?

Spades, Hearts, Poker, Cribbage, Euchre on occassion, Wizard (thanks to a group member that brought it once), Spite and Malice, and I know a little bridge.

Other than card playing, what else do you like to do for enjoyment?

I love hosting dinner parties, cooking and going out for drinks regularly. I also play ultimate frisbee with my sister's Ultimate Frisbee group when it's nice out. I LOVE scuba diving and traveling, but don't get to do it very often anymore.

This group is really picking up momentum! Yesterday we had 15 people and games lasted until 5 am... wine, beer, shots, frozen drinks... we had em all and the pizza and wings really hit the spot. An absolutely fantastic time and it was nice to meet all the new people and see the regulars! Cant wait for the next one!
